“Most people in the world demonstrate that they prefer going with the sleepy program of mainstream hogwash than waking to the awesomeness of their own individual excellent life… They choose unknowing instead of knowing. They cannot be bothered to know anything about real politics, real society, real intellect, real sexuality, real freedom, real independence, real anything. How weird.
Still, there they are — driving around, doing things, going to church, going to work, listening to the news, eating things, buying things, saying things, and I look at them: are they really alive? Are they real? Are they our brothers and sisters? Should we look upon them without conceit and radiate our human compassion and understand that everyone is on a journey, everyone is on their own special journey, OR ARE THEY DEAD? Are they soulless? Are they non player characters (npc’s), artificial intelligences like in video games, there simply to fill out the landscape, following programs; no free will, no capacity to self determine?
When I was sixteen, I hated everyone. And now, thirty years later, I still fucking hate everyone. The only difference is, now I know why. I understand the problem much better. I see how they damage and deprive themselves, and I hate that… My hate is a surge of care and sorrow, very human…
Our society is mentally ill, cracked, insane to all thinking feeling souls that move through it. What a peculiar training ground we are in. The land is good, the society is stupid. What a bizarre place.
How can we do something about that? By accepting the mystery of life, by moving deeper and deeper into the heart of reality, we begin to slowly dispel the madness. Our reason, our experience, the goodness of our presence brings order to everything it touches, in small ways and in massive ways. Our wisdom is in our footsteps. Sometimes that means tackling really difficult things, head on. We must never be scared to talk about anything — race, immigration, guns, violence, hate, education, families, sex, history, death. No political correctness, no censorship, simply to know what is true.” ~Neil Kramer
