Whatever Happened to Baby Jane / Sisters

“Why am I so good at playing bitches? I think it’s because I’m not a bitch. Maybe that’s why Miss Crawford always plays ladies.” ~Bette Davis

The famously eerie tale of nine dead Russian hikers…

“In 1959, nine experienced Russian cross-country skiers, seven men and two women… headed to the Ural Mountains, to a slope called Kholat Syakhl [“Mountain of the Dead”] for a rugged, wintry trek…

In the middle of the night all nine suddenly leap out of their tents as fast as possible, ripping them open from the inside… and race out into the sub-zero temps, without coats or boots or skis, most in their underwear, some even barefoot… It is 30 degrees below zero, Celsius… All nine, as you might expect, quickly die…

The three-month investigation revealed that five of the trekkers died from simple hypothermia… However, two of the other four apparently suffered massive internal traumas to the chest, like you would if you were hit by a car. One’s skull was crushed… [and] one of the women was missing her tongue.

Oh, it gets better. And weirder…”

Cell phone controversy

“EMFs from cell phones are directed into the ear, jaws, teeth, eyes, scalp, brain, hypothalamus, sinuses, and pineal gland… A calcified pineal gland… has documented effects on reproductive function, growth, body temperature, blood pressure, motor activity, sleep, tumor growth, mood, the immune system, and longevity…

Cell phones emit the most radiation when in use, but also emit small amounts of radiation when left on. Using a headset and keeping the phone away from the body can reduce exposure to radiation.”

Meeting with a Remarkable Man: A Talk with Robert Anton Wilson

“We have a government run almost entirely by lawyers. What do lawyers do? They look up precedent. That means the government is always governed by the past, never by the present, much less the possibilities of the future. They’re always looking backwards. A government made up of lawyers is by definition reactionary. Looking backwards, all the time looking backwards. So I think we should shoot a couple hundred lawyers every year. Whittle off the population of lawyers, so that Congress will have to recruit from other areas or professions.” ~Robert Anton Wilson
